The Tale of Khamul the Easterling

Khamul of house Tulkanos is born on the 17th Day of the Month of the Goddess' Death in the year 538.

In my second attempt to create a bloodline kid, Tulkanos had another child called Khamul the Easterling after one of the Nine Ringwraiths of Mordor. My first kid was Kaerdin who I gave to a guy on Medievia who asked to play him. Kaerdin made it to around level 50 (having multi'd out of Cleric and reclassing into Mage) before getting into an argument with an Imm and getting himself purged. I ended up using $100 in builders' credit on the stupid jerk: $50 for the HP talisman I bought him as a reward for multiing and another $50 for a Decree of Seperation that I used to kick is purged ass off of my line. Kaerdin also plays Deadnettle, so make sure to pk his lame ass if you ever see him.

So I started Khamul and am having fun leveling him. I think I'll keep this guy to myself and level him when I get bored of playing Tulkanos.

What follows is a log/journal-type thing that I'll use to keep track of what I do and how I leveled him.

April 26, 2002 ( Level 2 - Hours played:0)

After scrounging up some n00b eq with Tulkanos I create Khamul the Easterling, a Male Cleric. My plans are to have him hero as a warrior, so I'll go Cleric - Mage - Thief - Warrior. I gathered up blue orbs and gnarled tree roots from Shadmire for leveling eq, the old mithril eq from the desk in Ulhazzen (which is now battered leather eq), and the Ancient Dwarven Warhammer from from the Armor shops in New Genesia. All this stuff was mentioned in the "Newbie and Multi Eq List" metioned on Neville's Medievia Help Pages.

That eq gave him 18's in CON, WIS and INT and a hitroll of 16 or so.

I wandered into the Graveyard and the Newbie Helper God Prae shows up with an ear-splitting BANG! I thought I was in trouble because I was multiplaying Tulkanos and Khamul at the same time, but then I remembered it was legal to multiplay until the second char gets over level 12 or something like that.

We chat, and Prae asks if I needed anything and then leaves after giving mee a full load of level 34 spells. Woo! Thanks Prae!

I ended up xp-ing in the Cemetery until level 8,
then switched to the Warf area in Med city until level 10,
then went to Ulhazzen.
